Total Grain Marketing Acquires Grain Assets From The Andersons

Total Grain Marketing, a joint venture between GROWMARK, Illini FS, South Central FS, and Wabash Valley Service Company, announced it has acquired grain assets located in Champaign, Illinois from The Andersons.

The site, which will now be integrated into the GROWMARK/FS system, has storage capacity exceeding 16 million bushels, making it the largest grain elevator by upright storage in the state of Illinois.

Originally opened by The Andersons in 1968, the Champaign elevator concentrated on strong relationships and excellent service, growing a loyal customer base along the way. The acquisition of the facility by Total Grain Marketing opens up a new rail market for the business, expanding access to poultry markets across the U.S.

Although customers will be served by Total Grain Marketing moving forward, The Andersons will continue to own and operate the bulk fertilizer business at the Champaign complex.
