Soybean Processor & Biodiesel Maker Incobrasa Industries Begins $250M Plant Expansion in Illinois

Incobrasa Industries, a leader in soybean processing that has had a presence in Illinois since 1997, has broken ground on a $250 million expansion of its manufacturing facility in Gilman, Illinois.

The plant, which processes soybeans and produces animal feed, packaged vegetable oil, and biodiesel, will see the addition of a new soybean crushing facility - adding 170,000 square feet of state-of-the-art production facilities, along with a new 50-acre solar array to power the facilities, generating five megawatts of energy.

Plans also include upgrades to Incobrasa’s oil facility and soybean oil refinery plant as part of its overall project that will expand its soybean supply radius from 50 to 80 miles, and will lift its biodiesel production from 70 million to 150 million gallons per year.
