Scoular Acquires Kansas Grain Handling and Processing Facility

Scoular announced it has acquired a grain handling and processing facility near Goodland, Kansas, with intention to deliver advantages to Kansas grain farmers.

Located five miles west of Goodland, the facility is currently operating as a canola and sunflower crush plant. However, Scoular intends to shift the facility to handling corn, wheat, and milo, and plans to upgrade the facility by increasing its dumping speeds and improving truck traffic flow and expanding the employee team.

Currently, the facility has a capacity of more than 5.5 million bushels, and is capable of loading and unloading trucks along with railcars. Under its new ownership, the site will enhance Scoular’s network throughout Kansas, and will strengthen its ability to bring valued, grower-produced products to a range of animal feed, ethanol, flour milling, and export customers.
