Nature’s Path Acquires Leading Canadian Organic Milling Company

Nature’s Path has expanded the breadth of its vision to transform the health of the planet through organic food with the acquisition of a majority stake in Anita’s Organic Mill - one of Canada’s most respected millers and manufacturers of organic whole grain flours.

Established in 1997, Anita’s Organic Mill sources organic grains from farmers across Canada, which the company then stone-mills on-site at its facility in Chilliwack, British Columbia, which also includes a retail and bulk packaging facility, and an on-site bakery which serves as a test kitchen for education and development.

Nature’s Path has been buying and using Anita’s organic flours in some of its top-selling products since 2015, noting that the two companies have both maintained commitments to sustainability and always being organic and non-GMO.

Moving forward, Anita’s Organic Mill will retain its own branding, and will join the Nature’s Path brand portfolio that includes Love Crunch, EnviroKidz, and Que Pasa.
