Commodities Expert David Hightower to Address Global Trade at Unconventional Ag
Global commodities and economics expert David Hightower will discuss the continually shifting global trade conditions for grains and oilseeds as the headline speaker at the upcoming Unconventional Ag conference being held in Dallas, December 12-13.
Hightower is the founding principal of The Hightower Report - the widely known research and information firm that specializes in commodities futures analysis and provider of daily market coverage, hedge strategy, and trading advice to four global commodity exchanges, six government agencies, 45 brokerage firms, and three news vendors.
Also speaking will be David Brown, senior vice president and chief procurement officer for Post Holdings, who has three decades of experience leading procurement at some of the world’s top companies including Mondelez International, Conagra Brands, and Sara Lee. Brown will address “procurement moneyball”, illustrating how to assess the value and impact of a food company’s suppliers with analytics similar to those employed by sports organizations.
The event also will include a pre-event workshop called Roadmap for Sustainable Sourcing Success presented by Jessie Deelo, founder and CEO of The Climate Source, and will, over the course of two days, address topics such as regenerative ag, demand trends, efficient monetizing structures that prioritize sustainability from farm to retail, the challenges and opportunities existing in transportation and logistics in the grain sector, and many more.
