Bunge Breaks Ground on $500M Indiana Soybean Processing Plant

Bunge announced it has officially broken ground on a new $500 million soybean processing plant in Morristown, Indiana.

Scheduled to be online in mid-2025, the fully integrated facility, which is adjacent to the company’s existing soybean processing plant that focuses on processing soybeans for animal feed and soybean oil, will produce soy protein concentrates and textured soy protein concentrates to be used first by the North American plant-based food market, and eventually overseas markets as well.

The success of the company’s first processing plant in Morristown was influential in its decision to make such a significant investment at the site. Once fully operational, the new facility will employ 70 people and will have a processing capacity of 4.5 million bushels of soybeans per year.
