Bartlett Signs With Regrow Ag to Advance Sustainability in Soybean Supply Shed
Bartlett’s new soybean crush plant in Cherryvale, Kansas, is already accepting soybeans and is expected to be online in the third quarter of this year. Working with local farmers, cooperatives, and commercial grain elevators, the new site will handle approximately 49 million bushels of soybeans per year and provide a range of products, including refined vegetable oil, animal feed, and renewable transportation fuels.
For this new plant, Bartlett announced it has signed with sustainability solutions provider Regrow Ag to use Regrow’s Agriculture Resilience Platform that supports rigorous Scope 3 emissions analysis with the ability to create actionable carbon reduction plans and track environmental outcomes at the farm level.
Through this partnership, Bartlett will determine county-level emissions factors for its soybean supply shed, and will provide insights into the adoption of regenerative practices to help design programs in support of more sustainable farming.
