Ardent Mills to Acquire Specialty Grain and Pulse Co. Firebird Artisan Mills

Leading flour milling and ingredients company Ardent Mills announced its intention to acquire the operations of Firebird Artisan Mills - a top gluten-free, specialty grain and pulse milling company that makes up part of holding company Agspring.

The deal is being driven by Ardent Mills’ focus on emerging nutrition, and will be executed to build upon its existing wheat flour and plant-based centered business.

Firebird Artisan Mills brings a wide portfolio of gluten-free, organic, and non-GMO product lines, and includes a certified gluten-free facility located in Harvey, North Dakota.

The addition of Firebird to Ardent Mills’ business will enhance access for customers to gluten-free flours, mixes, blends, and specialty grain products, while also strengthening supply chains, boosting Ardent Mills’ already leading R&D, technical, food safety, and quality assurance teams.
