ADM Forges First-of-its-Kind Partnership with EAT Just to Advance Cultivated Meat
Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) has entered into a unique partnership, joining forces with the GOOD Meat division of Eat Just, a cutting-edge food tech company and leader in the development of cultivated meat. This joint development agreement is ADM’s first foray into the cultivated meat sector, which is expected to grow to be a $25 billion industry by 2030.
GOOD Meat is responsible for creating the first high-quality meat made directly from animal cells that has been approved for commercial sale. In the face of rising demand in Singapore and other future markets, GOOD Meat is ramping up its R&D efforts and increasing its production capacity. ADM’s unparalleled presence in every stage of the global food supply chain, including human and animal nutrition, offers a critical channel to large-scale commercialization for GOOD Meat products. Under the terms of the agreement, ADM will work to optimize the nutrients needed as a growth medium for the cells used by GOOD Meat, and both companies will collaborate on product development projects for GOOD Meat’s pioneering product line (beginning with chicken), with ADM’s expertise in food formulation being leveraged to optimize the flavor, texture, and other factors attributed to GOOD Meat’s products.
