Landus to Expand Feed Business with New Mill, New Partnerships

After two years of planning and waiting for the optimal time to advance, Landus Cooperative has announced a two-part strategy to expand and modernize its swine and beef feed business.
The dual action will include building a new 400,000-ton mill in Yale, Iowa, and the completion of major upgrades to receiving and the current four-million bushels of storage capacity at its adjacent and existing grain facility in Yale. The second part of the plan is for Landus to focus on additional feed projects across its 26-county area. This will include the strategic engagement with leading livestock industry partners in key locations in and around the cooperatives territory to leverage member equity and to “elevate the value of acre”.
