GrainsConnect Canada, GrainCorp Launch Farm Management App

GrainsConnect Canada and GrainCorp have launched the GrainsConnect app, an online farm management platform to support grain farmers in making informed decisions when selling their grain.

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, GrainsConnect is a joint venture between GrainCorp and one of the largest cooperatives in the world, Japan’s Zen-Noh Group. Since the fall of this year, GrainsConnect has been receiving grain at all four of its terminals across Western Canada, in Maymont and Reford, Saskatchewan, Vegreville, and at its newest location, the Huxley terminal in Alberta. Each of these locations has a 35,000-ton capacity, and the ability to load 134 rail cars in under 14 hours. This app has been developed and launched to provide even more efficiency to growers already engaged in a streamlined system.

As a free tool, the app offers a range of services to grain producers including access to real-time pricing and local specials, the ability to manage and administer contracts, track yield, produce real-time scale tickets, and check contract fulfillment between growers and merchants.
