Alliance Feed Opens $12.4M Feed Mill in Indiana

Alliance Feed, a joint venture created between the cooperative partnership, Co-Alliance and Farmer’s Grain & Feed, announced the startup of its $12.4 million state-of-the-art feed mill in Columbia City, Indiana.

Alliance Feed is seeking out local producers to manage wean-to-finish hog operations, and the mill becoming operational represents a potential channel of diversification for farmers in the region. Its strategic location will also provide partnership opportunities with both grain growers and hog producers.

The mill, which will source six million bushels of locally grown corn per year, has been designed to echo the Co-Alliance feed mill in Reynolds, Indiana that currently produces 275,000 tons of feed for more than 800,000 pigs per year.
