Landus Cooperative, Calyxt Forge Soybean Crushing Agreement

Landus Cooperative, the sixth largest grain company in North America, has entered into a commercial soybean crushing agreement with healthy food ingredients company Calyxt.
Through this agreement, Ames, Iowa-based Landus will process Calyxt’s high-oleic soybeans at its state-of-the-art crush plant in Ralston, Iowa, where the company processes 21 million bushels of soybeans per year. The deal will position Calyxt’s high-oleic soybean meal as an ingredient for the dairy nutrition market, and will expand its geographic footprint, improve scalability, and enable the company to serve larger consumer packaged goods brands.
Landus Cooperative is owned by approximately 7,000 farmer-members and aggregates more than 170 million bushels of corn and soybeans per year. It has locations in more than 60 communities across Iowa and annual revenues exceeding $1.2 billion.
