Richardson Acquires Eagle Agro
Grain giant Richardson Pioneer has signed a deal to acquire Alberta-based inputs dealer Eagle Agro Services.
The deal for Eagle Agro, which has been in operation since 2002, will expand Richardson’s crop input business into a new geography for the business.
Moving forward, Richardson states that it will now have the opportunity to build relationships with producers in the region, and become a leading provider of seed, fertilizers, and year-round crop protection technology services through its CropMatrix platform.
Launched in April 2017, CropMatrix gives Richardson the ability to streamline the management of field trials being conducted across the Prairies, generating valuable information that can be rapidly offered to grain farmers. The platform also includes agronomic tools that enable grain farmers to analyze data from production and yield information, which in turn gives them the ability to make the best management decisions.
