ADM Sells Bolivian Oilseed Business

After concluding a review of its portfolio, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) has agreed to sell its Bolivian oilseed business to Inversiones Piuranas S.A. for an undisclosed amount.

The sale includes ADM’s processing facility in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, along with nine-grain silos and ADM’s distribution business in the country. The company employs approximately 400 people and processes soybeans and sunflower seeds into oils and protein meal.

ADM plans to continue to run its oilseed operations in the country until the transaction closes at some point in the first half of 2018.
