Cargill Acquires Feed Mill in Thailand

Cargill is expanding its animal feed and nutrition business in Thailand after agreeing to acquire a feed mill in Prachinburi province from Sri Thai Foods and Beverages Ce. Ltd. and Thai-Denmark Swine Breeding Co. Ltd. for an undisclosed amount.

The plant, which began operations in 1996, and which has been shuttered, will produce poultry and swine feed for Cargill customers across Eastern and Northeastern Thailand. Once fully operational in May 2018 the facility will produce 72,000 tons of feed per year, and considering the large area of land included in the sale (24 acres), Cargill will have the option to expand the plant as demand increases and the market grows.
