Joint Venture to Build New Feed Mill in Indiana

Co-Alliance and Farmers Grain have announced the formation of a joint venture to build a new feed mill at the Farmers Grain facility located in Columbia City, Indiana.

The agreement will bring together Co-Alliance’s expertise in swine and animal nutrition with the storage and marketing abilities of Farmers Grain, and will enable Co-Alliance to expand its presence in the pork industry, while Farmers Grain will be able to vertically integrate its grain to feed production. Established in the 1950’s, Farmers Grain is one of the oldest grain companies in northeast Indiana, with six grain elevators across the region.

Building on the success of Co-Alliance’s mill at Reynolds, Indiana, the location will strategically locate more modern feed production across northern Indiana for the company, and will act to generate more opportunities for future partnerships with growers and processors.
