ADM Expanding Feed Production Presence in China
Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) announced it is expanding its presence in China’s feed production space with the construction of a new feed-premix plant in central China, and the addition of aquaculture feed production lines at its existing plant in Jiangsu Province in eastern China.
The premix production plant will have the capacity to produce 120,000 tons of premix, concentrate, animal-complete, and fish-complete feeds per year, and is being strategically situated to enable it to provide feed to customers in three provinces: Hunan, Hubei, and Guangxi.
The additional aquaculture feed lines at the complex in Jiangsu will have the capacity to produce 50,000 tons of extruded and pelleted feed to customers throughout the six-month long aquaculture season that runs from April to September.
The construction of the new plant and the addition of the aquaculture feed lines are both scheduled to be completed in early 2019 – adding to ADM’s existing animal nutrition production assets in the country located in Dalian, Tianjin, Nanjing, and one in Zhangzhou, which is expected to be completed this summer.
