Seven Aflatoxin Research Projects Approved for 2017
The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) announced that the Aflatoxin Mitigation Center for Excellence (AMCOE) has approved seven new research projects for 2017 for the exploration of control, and possible elimination of aflatoxin.
Now in its sixth year, AMCOE, which is managed by the NCGA, employs transgenic and traditional breeding methods, best management harvest strategies, improved grain handling and storage, and improved testing procedures in its investigation of biological controls and aflatoxin resistance.
The seven projects will be conducted at the University of Mississippi, Purdue University, Texas A&M, Louisiana State University, and the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Georgia.
