ED&F Man Acquires Pulse Trader, Maviga Plc

ED&F Man, a global player in the sourcing, storage, shipping, and distribution of agricultural crops and products including grain, sugar, coffee, and molasses, announced it has agreed to acquire UK-based pulse and specialty crop company, Maviga Plc for an undisclosed amount.

Upon closing of the deal, Maviga, which is an international originator, processor, and trader of dried pulses, sesame seeds, and other crops will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of ED&F Man.

Since its founding in 1994, Maviga has grown to have offices in 12 countries through which it ships a quarter of a million tons of bagged and bulk agricultural products from more than 25 sources to more than 65 global markets.
