Iowa Corn Growers Association Sets Priorities for 2017

The Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) has released its final list of agenda policy priorities it will lobby in favor for at both federal and state levels throughout 2017.

On the state level the association will lobby for funding for ag research and the state’s biofuel infrastructure cost-share program, water and soil quality and conservation funding, tax incentives, and support for the state’s livestock industry.

On a federal level targeted priorities include the retention of the Renewable Fuel Standard, crop insurance funding, the expansion of bilateral and multilateral trade agreements, and the elimination of burdensome environmental regulations.
