Harvest Progress: Warm Weather Advances Harvest
After an unseasonably warm week, Nebraska now has 91 percent of its soybean crop harvested, on par with the five year average at this time in the season of 91 percent.
Meanwhile, the state’s corn crop is 69 percent harvested – just under the five year average for this time in the year of 70 percent.
Iowa has 71 percent of its corn harvested, being only two days behind the five year average, and its soybean crop is 89 percent harvested, only five days behind the average.
In Kansas, 87 percent of the state’s corn crop has been harvested, while only 53 percent of its soybean crop and 56 percent of its sorghum crop, and 38 percent of its sunflower crop have been harvested.
