Cargill Expands Animal Nutrition Capacity in the Philippines

Cargill is expanding its animal nutrition capacity with the opening of its fifth animal nutrition plant in the Philippines.

The facility, which will be located in Bulacan, will Cargill’s first pre-mix plant in the country. As the livestock farming industry in the Philippines matures and consolidates, there is a greater need for a broader range of premix solutions. As a result, this facility will be designed to cater to medium to large scale feed mills and livestock farms.

Construction on the site is scheduled to begin October 25 of this year, and when completed in the third quarter of 2017, will have the capacity to produce 20,000 tons of premix solutions per year.

The Philippines, has been marked by Cargill, as one of its key growth markets. The company is also investing in a new poultry processing facility through a joint venture with Jollibee that will be located in Batangas, which will be the largest in the country.
