Ceres Announces Leadership Succession

Ceres Global Ag Corp. announced that current president and chief executive, Patrick Bracken plans to retire, leaving the position effective June 1, 2016. Robert Day has been named by the company’s Board of Directors as interim president and CEO effective the same day.

Mr. Bracken will continue to serve as a director on the Board, and will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plan for non-grain activities at its Northgate Commodities Logistics Hub.

With 20 years of industry experience, Mr. Day joined Ceres last year, serving as Vice President, Trading and Risk Management. Prior to Ceres, Mr. Day served in various roles with Cargill and ED&F Man Ltd, in North America, Asia, and Mexico.

As part of its cost saving restructuring, the company has also announced that it has reduced the size of its board from seven to five members. Moving forward, the Board will now consist of Patrick Bracken, Harvey Joel, Gary Mize, Douglas Speers, and James Vanasek.
