Ukraine Grain Exports May Reach New Record this Season


Ukraine’s grain exports this year may reach a new record, topping 40 million tons on the back of high sales volumes for wheat, reports AgWeek.

The grain traders union, UZA, along with analysts estimate that the country’s wheat exports could be 15.6 million tons while its corn exports could reach 19.5 million tons.

Last year Ukraine harvested 60 million tons of grain and exported approximately 35 million tons in the 2014/15 season, while the country’s agriculture ministry states that Ukraine may exports 38 million tons of grain for the 2015/16 season.
