ADM to Buy Edible Oil Bottling Company in Belgium

Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) announced March 30 that it has acquired AOR N.V., a leading European, privately held, edible oil bottling and distribution company based in Antwerp, Belgium for an undisclosed amount.

AOR N.V. sells its brands, including Oilio and Coroli, across the continent of Europe with particular market strength in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. It also has a significant export business. Through the acquisition, ADM will be able to expand its European customer base, and will gain entry into the higher-margin European retail and foodservice sectors, and value-added export space.

AOR N.V. is a privately owned company, with fully automated operations and warehouse space on the water at the Port of Antwerp. The bolt-on acquisition offers ADM opportunity for growth as it optimizes its core businesses and pursues strategic expansion in new markets.
